2010 December Women’s Bible Study—Adjectives of the Heart

This month we are going to continue along the lines of dying to self, but we are going to give ourselves a deep heart cleaning. The definition of an adjective is a word imputing a characteristic to a noun or pronoun. In reality, they are words we use to describe someone such as pretty, smart or short. Our challenge is to study Galatians 3:28 and ask God to give us his eyes and heart this month. When you look at people I want you to try to see them how God sees them and lose the adjectives. The world teaches us to attach adjectives to everything and everyone. Well I would like us to drop the worldview and have Jesus view. I have to tell you; that I have been trying to do this and it is quite a challenge already for me. The reward however, when I have been able to do--it is beyond words to describe the joy you will feel to see people for the first time for who they really are. It might be like being blind and getting your sight for the first time. Try with all your heart to look at everyone without any adjectives.
