What does the Bible say about good friendships?
How can I be a good friend?
What are some good examples of good friends?
Good friends are wonderful, let’s see what the bible says about friends. Dig through these treasures of scripture:
Proverbs 17:17
Proverbs 18:24
John 15:14
Friends stick together. Real friendship means you stick by your friends. You don't pull out over some little thing. If your friends go through a hard time, be there for them if you can.
You should not be friends with bad kids though. Don't make friends with kids who drag you down or lead you into trouble. Pick your friends very carefully. Hunt through the treasure of the Bible with your kids into these scriptures and see what God says about it.
Proverbs 1:15
Proverbs 4:14
Proverbs 22:24
Always talk with your parent's if in doubt on a friend. Parent's might not be able to fix every problem, but we can help and pray with you. Also kids your first defense should always be to pray!
If your parents will help you here is a recipe to make a cake called a "Friendship Cake":
Starter Recipe:
1/2 Teaspoon Active Dry Yeast
1 Ounce Warm Water
1 Tablespoon of White Vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Milk
1 Cup Flour
Do not refridgerate.
Dissolve yeast in the warm water. Add 1 tablespoon of the White Vinegar 1/2 teaspoon salt. In plastic or glass container with a tight lid mix the ingredients well, for first 2 days cover with plastic wrap and let sit undisturbed, thereafter cover with tight lid and store at room temperature. On 2nd, 3rd and 4th day stir once each day. On 5th day add 1 Cup of Sugar, 1 Cup of Milk and 1 Cup of Flour and then stir once daily for the next 4 days. On the 10th day add 1 Cup Milk, 1 Cup of Sugar and 1 Cup of Flour. Mix Well.
Give 1 Cup each to 2 friends in sealed ziplock bags with instructions to make a cake, and 1 Cup to make your own cake and use 1 Cup to keep your starter going.
To make a cake: Heat Oven to 350 degrees
In Large Bowl Cream together:
1 Cup of Starter
2/3 Cup of Canola oil
3 Eggs
1 Cup Sugar
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla

In Large Bowl Mix Well:

2 Teaspoons Baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
